When my husband passed away unexpectedly, I had to not only deal with the emotional impact, which was hard enough, but at the same time close down his business, downsize our home and auction many of our combined assets, all while continuing to perform in an Executive role in a large, multi-national corporation.   My family, friends and colleagues were all amazing and helped me through but still, it was a time-consuming, confusing and completely overwhelming process.  Having seen others struggle in similar circumstances I always knew I wanted to use my experience to help in any way I could. 

Since that time, I have seen similar challenges for those going through divorce, or trying to manage the care of elderly parents, and strongly believe that the lessons I learned from my experience, can be applied equally successfully to helping people during other critical life situations.  This urge to help others finally became so strong that when the right opportunity presented itself, I left the corporate world to establish Halo, using the image as a representation of the eclipse of the sun which, while denoting significant periods of change and transformation, creates the opportunity for new beginnings.
